BC211 at a glance:

On April 10, 2010, the Information Services Vancouver Society transferred all its programs and services to the 211 British Columbia Services Society (BC211). Like its predecessor, BC211 is a non-profit society and a registered charity.

BC211 currently operates the following help lines:

VictimLink: a 24/7multinlingual help line for victims of crime in BC and Yukon
 
Youth Against Violence Line: a 24/7 multilingual help line for BC youth wanting to make anonymous reports about violence, or that want to find information about resources in their area.
 
Alcohol and Drug Information and Referral Line: a 24/7 multilingual line for anyone affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Serves BC and Yukon.
 
Problem Gambling Help Line: a 24/7 multilingual help line for anyone in BC affected by problem gambling.
   
Inform Vancouver: a 24/7 multilingual line for anyone in the Lower Mainland wanting information and referral regarding community, social an government services.
   
The Shelter and Street Help Line: a 24/7 multilingual line which assists in finding available shelter beds and other services in the Lower Mainland.
 

BC211 is funded by:

The United Way, The City of Vancouver, BC Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, BC Emergency Health Services Commission, BC Ministry of Housing and Social Development and the Yukon Ministry of Health.
 

BC211 operates 211 Services

BC211 operates 211 services for the Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Squamish-Lillooet Regional Districts. 211 provides information and referral to social, community and government services in the service area.
