Who funds
Information Services Vancouver?

Like most non-profit agencies, Information Services Vancouver (ISV) receives on-going funding from a number of different sources.

The provincial government contracts ISV to provide four province-wide information and referral services:

We also gratefully acknowledges the funding we receive from: United Way of the Lower Mainland and the City of Vancouver, both of whom fund, in part, Inform Vancouver.

  • Community Gaming Management Association
  • We receive funding from the Community Gaming Management Association through our participation, along with 82 other agencies, in the running of Planet Bingo in Vancouver. The monies we receive are used to fund community outreach projects, purchase computer equipment, and pay for Information and Referral Specialists' staff time.

Other revenue comes from the sale of The Red Book: Directory of Services for the Lower Mainland.

The agency's income is supplemented by the provision of professional development workshops and the sale of consultation services to agencies producing their own directories.
